Daria Binkowski is a versatile and adventurous flutist who can be found playing anywhere and everywhere between a symphony orchestra, a contemporary music ensemble, or an electronic improvisation concert. As a contemporary music specialist, Daria has performed with the Aspen Contemporary Music Ensemble, the Signal Ensemble, the Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival, and the East Coast Composers Ensemble. She has appeared at sych festivals as the Ojai Festival, the Greenwich Music Festival, the American Composers' Forum, the Nevada Encounters New Music Festival, and the Montreal/New Music Festival International. In addition to this, Daria has worked closely with and premiered the works of many young composers at festivals and universities across the United States and Canada including the Eastman School of Music, McGill University, Cornell University, the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, and the University of Michigan. Daria recently made her first appearance as an electronic imporvisatory artist in England at the Aldeburgh New Music/New Media Festival in 2008.
As an orchestral musician, Daria was recently a faculty member and guest artist at the Great Mountains Music Festival in South Korea. She has also performed with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, the Spoleto Festival Orchestra, the
